The system at Terminal 5 comprises two arrays of ten JBL VERTEC VT4888 Line Array elements powered by 24 Crown I-Tech 8000s and hung on either side of the stage augmented by self-powered JBL VRX Series loudspeakers arranged in delay clusters throughout the venue. The FOH system was designed and configured using Harman’s HiQnet System Architect.

Viera also points to equipment savings enabled by HiQnet. “Having the DSP functionality in the amp with the programmability of System Architect is like having enables us to have a much stronger product”, said Viera. “By the time you’re at the console the way we can deliver a system is just far beyond what we could do in the past. We have been using the system for a year now and we won’t do anything without System Architect.”
Commenting on the loudspeakers, Viera is a supporter of the VERTEC VT4888. “The 4888’s in many people’s opinion are a great sounding box. It just sounds really good and when you’re a premium service provider like we are, you cannot compromise on the sonic integrity,” said Viera. “Our business serves the top venues and leading artists in the New York Metro Area and our trademarks are concierge-level attention to detail and absolutely great sound. We spend a lot of time going through every angle of the show, whereas others just come in, install and leave. This commitment has gotten us to where we are now and why customers continue to turn to us in good times and bad.”
